Akina has a Bachelor of Global Studies from Akita International University, a prominent university where lectures are conducted in the English language. As part of the study abroad program, she studied at Winona University in the US for a year. After obtaining her degree she pursued a career as a Flight Attendant for 8 years. She enjoyed the various perks of flying around the globe for work. Her life took her down a road least expected when her journey of motherhood began. She discovered the importance in early childhood development as she started raising children of her own. Akina made a bold decision to change her career she began studying to obtain the national qualification to become a licensed nursery school teacher. She joined our team so she could not only provide care for children, but in addition spread the joy in learning English as a second language. She strongly believes that being able to speak English has given her the opportunity to expand her horizons. She wishes for the future generations to experience the same opportunity she had. Akina naturally has an outgoing personality and continues her search to discover more leisurely activities. She loves hosting BBQ parties for family and friends, learning Hula dance on a weekly basis, and so much more. She also likes watching movies and reading Japanese comic books.
