Vanessa has been a teacher since 2011. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Pedagogy and a master’s degree in Education. At first, she was a Junior High and High School teacher, but after a study and work exchange program in the United States, she decided to work in Early Childhood Education and the first years of Elementary school. In Brazil, she worked at a Canadian bilingual school as a main teacher in the Kindergarten Program, and she was also a First Grade teacher. She has been working in bilingual education since 2017 and is now responsible for the youngest group here at First Steps. Vanessa is passionate about child development, she believes that each child has their potential and that education also needs to extend to socio-emotional development. She thinks it is a privilege to watch her students growing over the years, and she is thrilled to see each class graduating. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys listening to music, reading, watching movies, playing with her kids, visiting new cafes, and traveling.
